STORAGE TIPS & PARKING REQUIREMENTS

STORAGE TIPS

Though we routinely do security checks on all vehicles and storage units, we recommend that you check on your belongings often as you are more familiar with your vehicle/unit and how you left it.

Always notify the office immediately of any new phone numbers in case we need to contact you should something arise that requires your attention.

Storage Units

Store all Items off the floor that may be prone to moisture absorption.

Cover all items that need to be protected from dust and other elements.

To avoid dust and moisture exposure to records/files, wrap all such items in plastic protective bags.

Store Breakable items away from walls, keep from the top of other goods to avoid falling when removing lower items.

Be weary of storing items that can freeze at extremely low temperatures. Certain TVs, paint and cleaning products are good examples of these types of items.

NEVER STORE FOOD OF ANY KIND, food can attract pests.

To prevent condensation from causing any damage to moisture sensitive items in your unit, we suggest covering all moisture sensitive items with plastic sheeting. Damage from condensation may happen if moisture in the air freezes to the walls and/or ceiling and then drips onto items below.

Outside Spaces

Park only in your assigned space.

Be centered in your space and pulled all the way into your space without sticking out into the driveway.

Make sure all doors, windows vents and storage compartments on your vehicle are locked and secured at all times.

We suggest removing batteries, propane tanks or anything else of value from the outside of your vehicle. Store these items inside the vehicle or take with you.

Do not use your RV as a storage unit.

Make sure all items in are secured in the vehicle in case of movement.

Check on your vehicle often to make sure any covers/tarps are securely fastened as the wind may blow them off. We recommend checking before and after any windy or stormy weather. Also remember that while tarps are useful in protecting your vehicle, they fray over time and will leave your vehicle/RV/Boat upholstery open to the harsh Nevada weather and sunlight.
